On stage and dj´s was Shitxfaced Crew, IRK (All Out Dubstep), Poppa Peez, Bjarni Boy and Näääk&Nimo killin it. The release of the new Kingsize Magazine! Then the outstanding TnT residents took over - Taro & Tony Z. So it was a night to remember, or if you don´t remember here are a flash back!!

This year New Era sent out blank 59Fifty caps to a choosen crowd of artists around the world. Using these caps as a blank canvas, they then made their artistic mark on them! New Era then put the artwork online and the public choosed theri favourite ones. These caps then went on tour around the world and tonight it is time for Stockholm. We celebrate this initiative with our own store display. The real exhibition begins tonite at gallery So Stockholm in Kungsträdgården!

SSUR Gangs of New York Collection!

In the 1970s, the streets of New York was still crowded with gangs such as the Black Spades and The Savage Nomads. Gangs of mostly etnic minoritys that fought each others for control of the streets and various criminal opportunitus. As their conturparts on the west coast and the rest of the US, they often rode bikes and wore the classic jean/leather jacket with their gang patch on the back.

Somewhere in the late 70s to the early 80s when the decade turned, these gangs came to better thoughts and understood that all the violence was not productive and that it was better to settle their beefs in break battles on the streets. The one who led this change was the Black Spades leade Africa Bambaata that later formed the Hip Hop movment Zulu Nation. This was a big part of the birth of Hip Hop culture. Last friday Phil Evans showed his skate photographer documentary called FORMAT PERSPECTIVE at our Cali OG Store in Stockholm. The film are about the work of 6 skate photographers around Europe, displaying their activities in front of and behind the lens.

So a night of beers, popcorn and great skate.

We got some news from Supra today.

First out is a very limited quick-strike release, the TK mid Society modell is a tribute design to Deion Sanders as he just got his place in the Hall Of Fame! The blue colorway is for his years with Dallas Cowboys and the red one is for his time with San Fransisco 49ers, wich he took the Superbowl with!

Caliroots visits Primitive

So we took a ride up to the "Valley". Hot and nice.
The mission was to visit our friends that runs the "Primitive" store up there.

Primitive just turned 3 year, so that called for some celebration.

They did it in true Primitive style, lovely ladies(Desiree Elyda!!), and a back yard BarBque.

Store looked really great and packed with customers.

Congrats to the 3 Year Jubal and Paul!

Malcolm ”Mac Miller” McCormick är en av HipHop världens ”rising stars”! Vid 19-års ålder har han gått från att vara en lokal kändis till att spela för utsålda hus över hela USA. Med ett positivt budskap och ett öra för instrumentaler har denna mångfacetterade musiker banat sin egna musikaliska väg med sin typiska ”Golden Era” rap-stil.

Något av ett musikaliskt underbarn, McCormick lärde sig spela piano, trummor, gitarr och bas redan som sexåring. Med influenser som Big L, Lauryn Hill, The Beastie Boys, Outkast och A Tribe Called Quest, utvecklade han sina unika känsla för ”rhymes” och fick snabbt ett rykte om sig för sina ”freestyles” i hemstaden Pittsburgh.
